Wyoming Libraries Snapshot Day

4th graders, 5th graders, and Primary FLS students participated in this year’s Wyoming Libraries Snapshot Day, providing a glimpse of how students use their library and why libraries are important to them.

Here are some comments:

Why are libraries important to you?

  • Books!
  • They help you read.
  • I love reading with friends.
  • You can have fun, hang out with friends, and read.
  • You get to sit in a quiet place while reading.
  • “Libraries are important to me because if I want a new book I can get one.”
  • “You can pick any book.”
  • “Libraries are important to me because they are one of the only ways I get to read more books and I get to learn a lot from books.”
  • “It’s a safe place and it’s a non-judgmental place.”
  • “Because you read and that is good for your brain.”
  • “Because some kids don’t have books but the library does.”
  • “Books are amazing. Thank you librarians!”
