Here are some great places to start exploring:

Rather than inundate everyone with EVERYTHING available all at once, your school library shall be in contact, day to day, to post messages and share featured resources and ideas in order to help patrons and community members with continuing inquiry, inclusion, collaboration, curation, exploration, and engagement.
Watch for messages from Crest Hill Elementary. Also, be sure to check the Crest Hill Library blog for further communications.
It is my honor to keep providing guidance to patrons and community members toward reliable resources along their journeys of learning. Please feel free to contact me through the school if I can be of service in any way.
Thank you and Take Care!
Yours,
Devin Hodgins

Library Club Members here at Crest Hill are gearing up for the 2020 Spring BOOK FESTIVAL!

Students are beginning to make plans for the Little Free Library raffle, and they are in the midst of building projects to put on display for families and community members.

Be on the look-out for more information as National Library Week (April 19th – 25th) and the Spring BOOK FESTIVAL creeps ever closer.

December 2019

Thanks to all the Kindergartners, First Graders, and Second Graders who took part in Library Club this past semester.

Pupils explored books, storytelling, makerspace, computers, games, and plenty of other activities and services their library has to offer.

Thanks also to all the parents and guardians who got students to school early every Wednesday so they could join all the fun in the library.

We look forward to welcoming 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students next semester.

Thank you, Crest Hill!

February 2019

Primary grades are almost through exploring this year’s Buckaroo Book Award Nominees. Students vote for their favorite book next week! Watch to see which book gets the most votes here at Crest Hill.

Fourth grade classes have done a fantastic job of investigating the Dewey Decimal System. Students finished marking the Informational shelves and Non-Fiction bins with section dividers, signs, and labels marking Dewey classes and subjects. They learned a whole lot about Dewey Classification, but not only that, their work will enable patrons of all ages and abilities to locate library resources much more easily.

Fifth graders have been looking at S.P.I.D.E.R. Website evaluation and MLA citation format as they prepare to begin researching libraries and the practice of book lending so they can then build their very own libraries.

More information at that soon!

Thanks for supporting your Crest Hill Library!
