We wish everybody a wonderful Summer!
As part of out Spring Book Festival, the Library Club built a “Little Free Library” out of an old newspaper rack donated by the Casper Star-Tribune.
Club members designed it and painted it, and every Crest Hill student was invited to add their thumbprint to help with the “dragon scales.”
The library shall sit outside the school for folks to share books.
Crest Hill Library welcomes readers across the community to join us as we roar:
“We Are Dragons! Books Are Treasures!”

Congratulations to this year’s Wyoming Book Award Winners!
And thanks to these students for helping to celebrate the awards with pizza, pop, and pies!
First, thanks to everyone who helped out with the Read-A-Thon!
It was a spectacular success. Readers helped raise money for the PTO and for the library as well. Top readers earned prizes, and top classes earned extra visits to the library.
Also, 1st and 4th graders got together during the Read-A-Thon–also during Spirit Week– and had a “Buddy-Reading” session in the school library. Students did a fantastic job sharing the wonder of words!

To help the Crest Hill community celebrate this
curious calendrical coincidence,
the School Library is sharing a read-aloud of Two by Kathryn Otoshi.
Not only does it have a perfect title for Twosday, but it also has an important theme, with a good moral lesson about true friendship.

Happy Reading Dragons!
A resounding “Thanks” to local author, Casey Rislov, for visiting Crest Hill and reading her award-winning book, Rowdy Randy, to students.
She also took questions from children about writing and publishing and all the hard work that it takes to make a book.
Casey Rislov also gave copies of her book to every classroom teacher and to well over a dozen lucky students.
Special Thanks to the Wyoming State Library and other sponsors such as Casper Sinclair and East Casper Chiropractic for their generous support.
Crest Hill students can hardly wait for the adventures of Rowdy Randy to continue.

Wishing everyone Happy Holidays and a wonderful Winter Break!
